Wet curls - Towel blotted not drippy
Drenched Curls - Drippy wet curls usually still in the shower!
Pulse or Squish to condish - To gently squeeze handfuls of wet ribboned curls repeatedly in place
Scrunch - To gently cup and squeeze in an up and down motion
Curl train - To manipulate wet curls in a finger coil motion
Roping - To twirl wet curls into a coil
Praying hands - To glide hands from top to bottom of curls in a praying motion
Texture - The actual diameter of a hair strand. Fine, medium, or coarse
Surface Texture - Descriptive, the look and feel of one’s hair strand. Example: silky( fine) thread like (medium) rough, rope like, glassy (coarse or tight).
Density - The total amount of hair on a persons head as a whole. Example: high density refers to someone with very “thick” hair. Medium is average. Low density is less than average.
Porosity - The ability of the hair to absorb water
